The role will cover Enterprise, Fund and Operational Risk Management. It will be the designated person to the Central Bank of Ireland for Fund and Operational Risk Management and report to the Global CRO.

Core Responsibilities:
Take ownership of ICAAP Process, along with the collective Investment Management Risk Frameworks and Operational Risk Management Framework with the support of the Global Risk Management team.
Review and update the ManCo. risk appetite statement, risk tolerance, risk limits and risk infrastructure.
Review and implement an integrated risk management framework, policies, procedures across the EMEA region.
Review and update the risk register to ensure it covers inherent and residual risk and related mitigating factors.
Position fund and operational risk to be aligned with the regulatory curve, in particular CP86 and also other European regulatory jurisdictions.
Ensure that the risk management frameworks for fund and operational risk management are embedded in the organisation and operating effectively.
Ensure that the risk frameworks get operationalized and properly implemented across the various EMEA business jurisdictions.
Specific Responsibilities:
Fund Risk Management: Identify, assess, measure, mitigate, monitor and report.
Review and update ManCo. Investment Management Risk Framework.
Provide ongoing (daily/monthly/quarterly) risk monitoring and reporting for regulated funds (e.g. UCITS, AIFs, MiFID etc.).
Monitor risk appetite and tolerance levels against risks taken.
Prepare periodical reporting to global, regional and local risk committees on risks relating to valuation, liquidity, counter-parties, derivatives.
Independently monitor and manage data accuracy and completeness for risk reporting.
Proactively investigate risk events including deep dive to identify issues arising.
Challenge all Designated Persons to ensure that the necessary ManCo. controls are in place.
Incident and breach reporting with escalation procedures in place to Group and other relevant Stakeholders (Board & Regulators).
Operational Risk Management: Identify, assess, measure, mitigate, monitor and report
Avoid loss from internal processes, people and systems.
Review and update the firm’s Operational Risk Framework.
Review and update operational policies, procedures and controls.
Ongoing monitoring and oversight of the delegated functions.
Proactively challenge and unearth issues and escalate to the Board as necessary.
Incident and breach reporting with escalation procedures in place.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or similar quantitative discipline
Master's Degree; FRM, CFA or an equivalent professional certification is highly desirable
Experience:
10+ years of demonstrated experience and potentially increasing responsibility in risk management at an Investment Management firm or equivalent in the funds management world.
Very strong working knowledge of financial products: Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset, Private Markets, Derivatives, Foreign Exchange etc.
Strong expertise and competency with CBI regulations, in particular CP86, FCA and BaFin.
Comfortable presenting and interacting with Boards, Senior Management and Regulators across multiple jurisdictions.
Detailed knowledge of ICAAP, risk appetite, risk frameworks and risk profile of investment funds and investment businesses.
Skills:
Strong quantitative skills and related experience working with risk systems and data (BlackRock Aladdin, FactSet, Bloomberg, etc.).
Strong Excel skills (Macros preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across multiple global jurisdictions with the ability and willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative environment to meet tight deadlines.
